Ingredients

Butter – Isn’t everything better with butter? Choose grass-fed butter, if you can.

Ground beef – Here’s a great opportunity to use leftover or pre-cooked meat. If you don’t have any on hand, follow the directions in the recipe card below and start with raw ground beef instead.

Onion – This is the only plant-based ingredient in the whole recipe. If needed, omit the onion for a strict carnivore cooking style.

Eggs – Opt for free-range, pastured eggs or get them from your own backyard hens!

Shredded cheese – It’s all about cheese in this meal. Add half the cheese over the ground beef inside and sprinkle the other half over the top. You’ll have melted cheese in every bite. Shredded mozzarella cheese, cheddar, and Colby jack all melt well.

Salt – Just a pinch to season the whole dish. I have a fun time trying different types of gourmet salt.

Some folks might enjoy optional add-ins like Lacto-Fermented Pickle Relish, fresh tomato slices, avocado, or bacon. Pretty much anything you find on a traditional cheeseburger will be supper yummy stuffed in this omelette.
